Dr. Sarah Dean, DNP, FNP-C, is a compassionate and highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience providing expert care across various medical settings. A proud graduate of Quinnipiac University’s first Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) class alongside Dr. Shivanna Subramani-Gonzalez, she has dedicated her career to delivering patient-centered care with a strong focus on pediatrics, primary care, reproductive health, and forensic medicine. She has extensive experience in school-based health centers, urgent care, and family medicine, managing acute and chronic conditions while building strong, trusting relationships with her patients. Dr. Dean also holds specialized training in pediatric forensic evaluations, having completed advanced courses in child abuse recognition, assessment, and intervention. Her expertise has contributed to developing clinical programs and pathways to improve care for vulnerable populations.​

 

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Dean is passionate about education and mentorship. She serves as an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University and previously taught at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where she has helped train the next generation of healthcare professionals​.
